EMAIL LISTS - GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION

Participants agree to:

• Demonstrate agape love and diplomacy when contributing to the discussions;

• Resist the temptation to flame or to use antagonistic criticism;

• Treat others as you want to be treated: with love, dignity, and respect;

• Respect the confidentiality of the list - in other words not quote private or potentially sensitive material from the lists unless express permission has been gained;

• Resist posting messages to any other newsgroup or list without the permission of  the moderator and the permission of the original author;

• Browse through the list archives to be familiar with recent discussions;

• Delete all but the portion replying to when responding to a previous post;  

• Post posts with no content privately, i.e. - "Yes, Amen!", "Hallelujah", "LOL ROFL", They say nothing to the rest of the list.

• Abide by guidelines implemented (as needed) by the moderator, or to withdraw from the list if unable to do so.

• Treat all posts as "It's not personal".  Each person posting has the right to express their view.  Their viewpoint should be respected and not felt as directed.

• Live Christ-like character with a good report from peers. 

Tips on posting:

• Posts that are topically related to our Apostles Today forum are typically of interest to most on the lists.  We are interested in discussion.  Theological dissertations are not our focus.  They have a tendency to take us in the wrong direction.

• Posts tend to receive better response if they are brief; generally one or two questions will be sufficient per thread.  This helps those who want to participate but do not have the time for writing long replies.

• Long posts tend to be deleted without being read due to their length.  Break it up over several posts if possible.

• Please be considerate in the size attachments that you send.  If the attachments are over 1 meg, please upload them to a web server and send out the address. 

• Avoid posting your newsletters or articles if you are not making personal replies.  This is a relational forum.  Be touchable!

• DO NOT TYPE IN ALL CAPS!  It is considered shouting! 

• Personal posts need to go to the personal email address of the individual off the lists. If it's not relevant to all, please post privately.

• We suggest that you place your email address in your signature for private posts to be addressed to you.  To reply personally you may also "Reply To All" and delete the list address.

• Be yourself and have fun!
